Understanding the practical roadmap to liquid cooling: The conversion to immersion
Traditional methods of cooling are becoming less effective as the data center industry juggles the challenges of higher densities, environmental targets, energy costs and the need for greater flexibility in design. This has given rise to new technologies in the liquid cooling space, in particular immersion cooling, which is being championed by leading hyperscalers and colocation facilities. But, have we reached the tipping point for this to become the predominant method of data center cooling?
This series brings together the industry leaders who have developed and utilized immersion cooling to support the needs of their operations. We will explore the nuances of single and two-phase immersion cooling to help data centers understand the many benefits that these innovative technologies bring to operation, beyond just keeping their facilities cool. Critically we will shed light into how technologists are helping data centers transition to different kinds of cooling, allowing them to upgrade and retrofit in a seamless and risk free manner.
