Aligned Data Centers has topped out its PDX-01 data center in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Announced on LinkedIn, CEO Andrew Schaap said: “Another major milestone at Aligned Data Centers: the topping out of our PDX-01 data center in Hillsboro, OR.
“Customers gain unmatched flexibility to scale their operation rapidly and deploy air, liquid, or hybrid cooling solutions - all within the same data hall.”
Plans for the 72MW facility were first announced in January 2023 and the company broke ground on the 27-acre site at the end of last year.
The facility is expected to be joined by a second building, dubbed PDX-02, which will offer an additional 36MW of IT capacity.
According to the company's website, PDX-01 will feature a dozen 6MW data halls across 27 acres. The site will offer 100 percent renewable options via Portland General Electric, which owns seven hydroelectric plants, two wind farms, and seven thermal plants.
