Vantage has completed a new data center in Québec, Canada.

“Recently, we celebrated a major milestone: QC61 in Montréal is now complete!” the company announced on LinkedIn. “From the first shovel in the ground in January 2022 to delivering all phases in December 2025, this project represents far more than a build. It reflects the very core of who we are at Vantage Data Centers.”

Q61 is located at Vantage’s Montreal III site (online listings place the facility at 21525 Clark Graham Avenue in Baie-D'Urfe). Situated on eight acres, the single-building site offers 30MW of IT load. The site uses closed-loop chillers and air cooling, and features four fiber points of entry and four meet-me rooms. A dedicated 45MW substation on campus has a direct private connection to utility provider Hydro-Quebec.

Vantage’s Canadian portfolio currently includes four developing or operational campuses in Québec City and Montreal. Upon completion, the campuses will offer a total computing capacity of 178MW.

Vantage entered Canada in 2019 after acquiring 4Degrees Colocation from Videotron Ltd., a Quebecor Media Inc. (QMI) subsidiary, in January 2019. At the time, it took over a site in Québec City and another in Montreal. It then acquired Hypertec’s Canadian data center business in 2020, taking over another campus in Montreal.

The company announced plans for a third site in Montreal as well as an expansion to its two existing sites in 2022.
