NTT Ltd has completed the shell of its second building within its Munich 2 data center campus.
The 14MW building is scheduled to go online later this year and will provide around 6,200 sq m (66,000 sq ft) of colo space in the German town of Unterschleißheim outside Munich, Bavaria.
German powerhouse
NTT's Global Data Centers division CEO for EMEA, Florian Winkler, said: “We are constantly expanding and investing in new facilities across our regions.
“The Munich area is the economical and digital hub of Southern Germany and a strong economic powerhouse. Our client base in the region is constantly growing and our existing clients have a strong demand for additional data center capacity."
Like all of NTT Ltd’s latest data centers, the facility will feature an Innovation Lab which will allow customers to try out new software on their servers and test new gear.

NTT has also announced it has finished the rebranding of a subsidiary as its new Cloud Communications division. The company was previously known as Arkadin.
This new division’s job is to act as an advisor to organizations that want to work off the cloud.
NTT is in the midst of buying and rebranding firms as entire divisions, most notably with its decision to rebrand its various data center subsidiaries under one name.
