Venyu operates three facilities in Louisiana: an 87,000 sq ft (8,080 sqm), Tier III-certified facility in the city of Shreveport that was previously a Selber Brothers department store building and launched in 2016; and two data centers in Baton Rouge. Located in the Bon Carré Business Park, BTR2 launched in 2014 and offers 7,300 sq ft (680 sqm) of data hall space.

"We are thrilled to now serve hundreds of enterprises and service provider customers in Louisiana and around the country by way of three top-tier data centers in Baton Rouge and Shreveport," said Scott Willis, CEO of DartPoints. "Serving Edge markets is where our passion and expertise lie, and this acquisition expands our geographic coverage to a third region: the South Central US."

"It was a natural fit with Venyu as their focus and strength in delivering an exceptional customer experience combined with state-of-the-art, redundant infrastructure aligns with ours," Willis added. "The expanded geographical reach combined with the expertise that the Venyu team brings sets up DartPoints for continued accelerated growth."

Founded as Network Technology Group in 2001, the company merged with AmeriVault in 2009 to form Venyu. It was purchased by local TV, phone, and Internet provider Eatel Corp in 2013 (since renamed REV).

"Today marks the beginning of a terrific new chapter for Venyu," said Josh Descant, CEO of REV, Venyu's former parent company. "By joining the DartPoints team, Venyu can continue to deliver on its customer-focused mission to source, implement, and manage complete IT ecosystems — and now with enhanced infrastructure and a deeper bench. In addition, the synergies resulting from the combined organization will further benefit customers, markets, and employees for years to come."

Founded in 2012, DartPoints previously acquired Metro Data Centers (MDC) in October 2020 and Immedion in March 2021. The company has Astra Capital Management as a majority investor.

Venyu was also previously developing a data center in Jackson, Mississippi, within a former McRae’s department store, which isn't listed on the company's website.
