Airtel has launched its 5G service in Tanzania.
The operator switched on its commercial 5G service earlier this month.
It's the fourth high-profile 5G launch for Airtel across Africa this summer, with the operator also launching 5G in Kenya, Nigeria, and Zambia.
Airtel Tanzania, which is a subsidiary of India's Bharti Airtel, is the third telco to launch the service in the country.
It's not confirmed where Airtel's 5G service is live currently, but the operator noted that it's available in "specific locations," thought to include the country's capital, Dar es Salaam.
Vodacom Tanzania switched on the country's first ever 5G network in September, while Tigo Tanzania paired with Ericsson to switch 5G services on in February.
