Celebrating the environmental movement and industry progress on Earth Day
The term 'sustainability' has inspired consumer changes across a multitude of business sectors as we pivot towards eco-transportation, to ethical fashion, and plant-based nutrition but little is spoken on about our interaction with the world's most indispensable resource in the era of the knowledge economy - the internet, and the cost to the earth when we consume data.
On Earth Day, DCD hosts a very timely, and topical discussion on the approach the world's builders of digital infrastructure need to take to show leadership in the fight against climate change and demonstrate impact. This broadcast is entirely underpinned by the importance of environmentalism in today's world, and outlines the position of the data center industry on operations geared towards climate positivity, carbon transparency and waste reduction and 'cleantech' implementation.
