HPE has added two new servers to its ProLiant Compute Gen12 portfolio.

Powered by AMD fifth generation Epyc CPUs – previously known as Turin – HPE said the latest offerings will deliver “next-level security, performance, and efficiency.”

Optimized to handle memory-intensive workloads, such as virtualization and Edge deployments, the HPE ProLiant Compute DL325 and DL345 Gen12 servers will have up to 6TB of memory capacity, double that of the previous Gen11 servers.

The two new offerings will also be available with HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software support, an open virtualization solution the company said helps reduce costs, minimize vendor lock-in, and simplify IT management, and HPE Integrated Lights-Out (HPE iLO 7), a security IP that builds in protection at the silicon level.

Meanwhile, AI-powered features available via HPE’s cloud-based software application Compute Ops Management can be used to monitor and manage the servers, providing enhanced insights and decreased downtime, whilst reducing complexity, HPE claims.

AMD’s fifth gen Epyc CPU was launched in October 2024. Based on the Zen 5 architecture, the CPU offers a core count from eight to 192, with the chipmaker claiming its architecture provides up to 17 percent better instructions per clock (IPC) for enterprise and cloud workloads, and up to 37 percent higher IPC in AI and high-performance computing (HPC) compared to Zen 4.

In April 2025, AMD announced the bring up and validation of the fifth gen CPUs at TSMC’s new chip fab in Arizona.

HPE Morpheus VM Essentials software is available today, while HPE ProLiant Compute DL325 and DL345 Gen12 servers are available for order today and will ship in July.
