Energy Fellow, Stanford University | Data Center Advisor, UNSDG-EP | Operating Partner, Digital Gravity Infrastructure PartnersSusanna Kass is an entrepreneur and AI scientist focus on discovering AI technology to accelerate performance, energy efficiency and sustainability. Currently, she is an Operating Partner, Digital Gravity Infrastructure Partners, focus on investments for The Future of Data Centers in the AI era. She is an Energy Fellow, Stanford University, a co-founder & BOD, InfraPrime, net zero startup based in Switzerland, and a Data Center Advisor on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Programme. In this role, she represents the UN Sustainable Development team by engaging private sector leadership, academic researchers, and public institutions to jointly promote sustainable energy within the international Data Center industry. Through mutually beneficial collaboration, the goal setting, speaking engagements, and projects further the vision of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Kass is one of the researchers for The Clean Energy for Biden, her focus is to provide scientific based evidence for America to revamp Carbon Neutral infrastructure and to support the new enactment to the Paris Agreement.
Kass is a lecturer at Stanford University, Cornell University Energy System Institute (CESI) and The National University of Singapore. She works with the researchers at the IPCC, Sustainability Institute at Cornell, Columbia University, MIT, UC Berkeley, UCLA and Doerr School of Sustainability Stanford University.
Kass has led 3.8 Gigawatt of Clean Energy Infrastructure projects and Renewable Energy contracts across 17 countries with Google, Microsoft, Apple, AWS, Akamai, Goldman Sachs, Walmart to name a few of her clients. Previously, Kass was COO, eBay International, GM APAC Data Center Operation at HP, VP, Global Data Center Business Operation at Sun Microsytems, Head of Innovation at NextEra Energy and EVP, Sustainability Operations, Baselayer. She managed numerous distributed teams for 200+ megawatt of hyperscale data center operations across 17 countries supporting hyperscale, Enterprise, Media Entertainment, Life Sciences clients across the globe.
Kass is an inventor, she holds patents in clean energy design. Kass is the recipient of numerous prestigious industry awards; 2024 World's Top 10 Women Distinction, 2023 DCD Lifetime Achievement Contributor Award, ranks 1st as Top 10 Sustainability Award for the Global World of Data Center, Top 10 Women in Data Center, Elite Achievers' Club by CIO Women Magazine, Most Influential Women to Follow by Inc.
