Social media platform X is down again, just three days after suffering from an outage.
More than 77,000 people have reported issues with accessing the site, according to Downdetector, with the homepage not loading for users.
The homepage notes that the host, X, is experiencing an error, while its website host Cloudflare is operating as normal.
Users started experiencing issues accessing X, formerly Twitter, just after 10:00 am ET.
It's the second outage this week after more than 25,500 users reported issues with the site on Tuesday (January 13).
The cause of today's outage is not yet known.
X has suffered multiple major outages since Elon Musk's $44 billion acquisition of Twitter in 2022.
When he bought the company, Twitter operated three data centers - one in Sacramento, another in Atlanta, and a third in Portland. It also spent heavily on Google Cloud services.
But, after loading up the company with expensive debt, Musk was forced to cut costs. Along with large layoffs, Musk ordered the closure of the Sacramento data center, downsized Atlanta, and slashed Google Cloud spend in order to save $1bn.
This is a developing story that we'll update as we find out more.
