“This past year, Vantage quickly ramped up our construction schedule to meet the skyrocketing demand for capacity in Northern Virginia,” said Jeff Tench, president of North America, Vantage Data Centers.

“The first phase of VA12 was brought online in just 10 months, which is a testament to our team and our strategic approach to design and construction for accelerating time to market for our customers.”

In 2019 Vantage raised more than $600 million, part of which went towards the initial development of the Virginia campus with the 30MW VA11 facility opening the same year. The 42-acre site features solar and wind energy sources onsite and when complete will total 146MW of capacity across more than 1 million sq ft (92,900 sqm).
