The company this week announced a new 72MW campus in Leesburg.

Known as NVA-06, the 32-acre site will initially host a 48MW building set to deliver Q2 2025, followed by a second 24MW building to follow soon after, both served by committed power from Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative (NOVEC).

The two buildings will total around 620,000 sq ft (57,600 sqm).

Images on Stack’s website suggest the new campus is on Compass Creek Parkway, close to Leesburg Airport and just north of Microsoft’s Compass Creek campus.

“This latest announcement epitomizes Stack’s dedication to responsibly delivering scale,” said Brian Cox, CEO of Stack Americas. “At Stack, we’re committed to delivering technological innovation while positively impacting the surrounding community to foster growth and cultivate a more economically rewarding future.”

Across Virginia, Stack has a large campus under development in Bristow, in Prince William County along Hornbaker Road and is also developing a 216MW campus in Loudoun County’s Ashburn. The 80-acre campus will support three buildings totaling almost 1 million sq ft (92,900 sqm).

Stack acquired two plots of land in Manassas from AWS in December 2021 located at 10675 University Blvd. and 9650 Innovation Drive. In April 2022 it subsequently announced plans for a 34-acre, 84MW data center campus but never confirmed if it was at the recently acquired site; at the time Stack said the project would comprise a minimum of two buildings spanning 602,000 sq ft (56,000 sqm). The first phase was to be delivered in Q3 of 2023.

“Stack Infrastructure’s investment in Leesburg marks an exciting chapter in our mission to promote a thriving local economy,” said Kristen C. Umstattd, supervisor - Leesburg District. “Data centers in Loudoun County drive tax revenue, and Stack’s investment will support our ability to continue investing in important community services. Stack is an excellent community partner, and I am excited for their decision to locate here.”
