Sabey is planning a new data center campus in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The company has set up a new dedicated project page for the Decatur Technology Park, a planned data center campus in Decatur Township in Marion County, southwest of Indianapolis. The company said it aims to invest up to $4 billion into the project.

"Sabey Data Centers is excited about the potential to be part of Indiana’s growing technology landscape,” the company told WRTV. “We are committed to building lasting relationships with the communities where we operate, and we look forward to engaging with residents and local leaders in the Decatur Township as we explore opportunities to bring thoughtful, sustainable development to the region. "

The site, along Kentucky Avenue/SR 67 and Camby Road, is currently zoned for up to six warehouse buildings totaling 1.2 million sq ft (111,483 sqm). Sabey is proposing developing two data center buildings totaling 900,000 sq ft (83,612 sqm).

Building A would be a single-story facility spanning 572,000 sq ft (53,140 sqm), while Building B would span 490,000 sq ft (45,522 sqm) across two stories. Groundbreaking at the site is expected in 2026, with the buildings going live in 2028 and 2030, respectively.

A letter from AES suggests the site could total up to 250MW, ramping up in phases from Q4 2027.

The site will use a closed-loop cooling system.

A joint venture between Sabey Corporation and National Real Estate Advisors, Sabey Data Centers operates data centers across the US, with sites in operation or development in Quincy, Seattle, and East Wenatchee, Washington; New York City; Austin, Texas; Umatilla, Oregon; and Ashburn, Virginia.

The company was recently set to buy 600 acres of land in Butte, Montana, for a potential data center development.
