Surafell Kebede has become the latest Meta staffer to join Anthropic.
Kebede has moved to the generative AI firm's infrastructure supply chain team, alongside fellow Meta supply chain exec Sham Parmar.
Previously the manager of performance and capacity at Meta, Kebede was also the supply chain lead (AGI) for large clusters at the company during a five-and-a-half year stint.
Kebede has also held supply chain roles at Apple and oil company Phillips 66.
Anthropic has aggressively ramped up its data center team. The company has pledged to invest $50 billion in data centers in the US with Fluidstack.
In May, Anthropic signed a deal with SpaceX to rent 300MW of data center space at its xAI data centers. Anthropic has also reportedly signed more than a dozen letters of intent with multiple US data center developers.
The company has signed an $11.6bn deal with Akamai, $35bn with Lambda, $45bn with Nscale, and $19bn with TeraWulf. The company has signed some $517bn in compute capacity leases in the past 11 months, as of September.
