Meta has signed a Power Purchase Agreement with EDP Renewables North America (EDPR NA) for 250MW of solar energy from a project in Arkansas.

The PPA will support the construction of the Cypress Knee Solar project in Chicot County, which is expected to be operational in 2028. The deal is the third between the two companies, with Meta agreeing to procure 545MW in total over the three agreements.

The two previous PPAs signed between the two companies were located in the Texas market. Both agreements are tied to solar projects, including the 240MW True North solar farm in Falls County and the 240MW Cattlemen Solar Park in Milam County.

Meta has already signed several PPAs in 2026 so far. For example, in February, the firm inked an 80MW PPA with MN8 Energy tied to a solar project in Juniata County, Pennsylvania. Before this, in January, the company signed a long-term PPA with Origis Energy to offtake power from a 303MWdc solar project in Texas.

EDPR NA is the North American division of Portuguese-based renewable developer EDP Renewables. The firm currently operates more than 12.3GW of utility-scale wind and solar capacity across the US, Canada, and Mexico. In addition to its PPAs with Meta, the company has also inked long-term supply agreements with Amazon in Mississippi and Microsoft in Illinois and Texas.
