Meta sub-contractor Sidecat LLC has purchased a land parcel in New Albany, Ohio, for $42 million.
Sidecat, which is listed as a sub-processor and sub-contractor for Meta data infrastructure projects, purchased the section of land at 3439-3445 Clover Valley Road on December 24, 2025.
This new land parcel is located just a 12-13-minute drive from Meta’s current New Albany campus.
In April last year, Meta announced an expansion to the New Albany data center campus, adding two buildings to the site totaling around 1 million square feet (92,900 sqm) and bringing total investment in the campus to $1.5 billion.
Last week, Meta announced new agreements to expand the operation of three nuclear power plants to support energy infrastructure.
In its announcement, Meta said that the projects would deliver power to grids supporting its data center operations, including its Prometheus supercluster in New Albany.
Meta aims to bring its Prometheus multi-gigawatt data center cluster online in 2026. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said that the company intends to invest hundreds of billions of dollars into the project to advance superintelligence.
Meta has yet to confirm whether or not the new land parcel purchased by Sidecat is related to either a new data center project, Prometheus, or both.
DCD has contacted Meta for clarification.
