The facility is set to feature 20 data halls, each boasting 5MW of IT capacity. It is set to receive electricity from Etihad Water and Electricity.

Further details of the facility, including timelines, have not yet been shared.

Earlier this year, the company launched a 40MW facility in Abu Dhabi’s Masdar City and announced plans for another 30MW facility in Abu Dhabi. The company currently operates 12 data centers across the UAE with a planned capacity of 300MW.

The number of facilities under the company significantly increased after the merger with G42 and Etisalat Group, first announced in October 2021. The merger between the three made Khazna the UAE’s largest data center provider. The company is also developing a facility in Cairo, Egypt.
