Khazna Data Centers has launched a new data center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The company this week announced the launch of AUH6 in Masdar City. The facility offers 31.8MW of capacity.
A 7MWp solar plant has also been developed in collaboration with Emerge to help power the facility.
Hassan Alnaqbi, CEO of Khazna Data Centers, said: “AUH6 embodies Khazna's commitment to pushing boundaries of technological innovation and sustainability in data center infrastructure. He continued: “With the expected surge in data volumes brought by the integration and widespread use of AI, the design, build and operations of data centers will undergo significant reshaping, and we are confident that AUH6 is designed to incorporate these advancements. We look forward to connecting our customers to the power of AI through AUH6, a facility that demonstrates Khazna’s extensive years of knowledge and technological innovation.”
Khazna currently operates ten data center sites across the UEA, with five more under development. The number of facilities under the company significantly increased after the merger with G42 and Etisalat Group, first announced in October 2021. The merger between the three made Khazna the UAE’s largest data center provider. The company is also developing a facility in Cairo, Egypt.
