A lead in Google's data center strategic sourcing and supplier development team has joined OpenAI.
Allyson Fealtman spent 16 years at the tech giant, leading a team of 11 commodity managers for liquid and air cooling, interconnect, and mechanical data center equipment. She joined OpenAI this May, but only publicly announced the move this week.
At OpenAI she will focus on strategic sourcing for high-speed interconnect and rack power.
"I’m deeply grateful for my time at Google—the opportunities to learn and grow, the talented people I worked alongside, and the lifelong friendships I built along the way," Fealtman said on LinkedIn.
"I’m excited to begin this next chapter with an incredible team at OpenAI and help build and scale the infrastructure behind its products. There’s so much ahead, and I’m thrilled to be part of it."
Prior to her lengthy stint at Google, she worked in supply chain roles at Infinera, PowerFile, and supercomputing firm SGI.
