Element Critical is expanding its data center campus in Houston, Texas.

The company this week announced it has begun construction on a new, 20,000 sq ft (1,858 sqm) data hall at its Houston One campus.

The 10MW high-density multi-tenant data hall will launch with 4.5MW of capacity by Q4 2026.

“This Houston expansion is another step forward in our ongoing mission to deliver vital inventory for enterprise and AI-driven workloads in a capacity-constrained market,” says Shane Menking, COO at Element Critical. "It’s not enough to just build. We are building for enterprises that are increasingly being left behind. Our 10MW expansion is a promise to the Texas market that we will stand with them, delivering the colocation and collaboration they need to thrive.”

Located on 20 acres at 22000 Franz Rd in Katy, the Houston One site offers 26MW across 118,250 sq ft (10,985 sqm). Element Critical acquired the site from Skybox Datacenters in 2021.
