DayOne CEO, Jamie Khoo, said: “Today’s groundbreaking marks a beginning, not only of a new facility, but of DayOne’s long-term commitment to Kodaira and to Japan’s digital future.”

DayOne also has a campus under development at Fuchu Intelligent Park, with ground breaking on the project last year. Developed alongside Gaw Capital, the Fuchu site will offer 80MW across 66,360 sqm (714,293 sq ft). The first phase, featuring a nine-story building and 18MW of capacity, is due to be core and shell ready by mid-2027.

APAC-focused DayOne was spun out of Chinese data center firm GDS in 2025. The company's portfolio currently comprises more than 500MW of data center capacity in service and under construction, and more than 500MW held for future development, across sites in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia (Johor), Indonesia (Batam), and Japan (Tokyo).
