The Roblox data center in Brazil, initially planned for 2026, has begun partial operations. The information was released during the Roblox Developer Conference (RDC) 2025, held on September 5 and 6 in San Jose, California.

The data center, initially announced during Gamescom Latam 2025, will be installed in the city of São Paulo, chosen for its strategic position to serve the user community in Brazil. The country currently ranks second globally in the number of active users of the platform, with growth of 181 percent in the last four years.

All the electricity used is sourced from renewable sources, certified by I-RECs, and comes from clean matrices in Brazil.

Roblox's new infrastructure in Brazil brings significant improvements to the experience of users and creators on the platform. Among the main advances are more stable frame rates, reduced jitter, shorter response times - especially relevant for high-performance games - and improved support for developers, with access to advanced tools.

In addition, loading times have been optimized for both high-performance computers and entry-level models. The competitive environment has also been adjusted, helping to expand the player base in the country.
