CoreWeave is planning to enter the Indian market with data center capacity leased from AdaniConneX.
The neocloud said yesterday, October 6, that it would be leasing 240MW of data center capacity in Navi Mumbai from local provider AdaniConneX.
The deployment will span three 80MW buildings at Adani's Taloja campus. CoreWeave plans to deploy Nvidia Vera Rubin systems at the site.
CoreWeave will also establish a local office in India and hire locally.
“India has the talent, developers, and ambition to become a major center of AI innovation,” said Sachin Jain, COO of CoreWeave. “We are investing in the infrastructure, technology, and local presence needed to support that growth, bringing 240MW of capacity, Nvidia Vera Rubin, and CoreWeave’s expertise to customers building and scaling AI in India.”
AdaniConneX's Taloja campus is being designed with high-density AI infrastructure in mind, including direct liquid cooling as well as a non-evaporative chilled water system.
The first phase of the project is expected to be available in mid-2028, and additional capacity will come online in phases. CoreWeave will be the sole tenant across the three buildings and will have the option to double its capacity at the campus, bringing the potential total to 580MW.
As of August 2026, CoreWeave had 4.2GW of contracted power. The company is currently expanding its footprint across the US, Europe, and Asia, recently announcing it was entering Indonesia.
CoreWeave recently revealed that it was now offering the Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 systems via its cloud platform.
AdaniConneX is the joint venture (JV) between Adani Enterprises and EdgeConneX. First announced in February 2021, the two companies previously targeted delivering 1GW of hyperscale data center capacity throughout India.
The JV has projects in Chennai, Noida, Vizag, Hyderabad, Pune, and Mumbai.
Towards the start of this year, Adani said it was targeting 5GW of data center capacity in India.
