Goodman Group has added a gigawatt to its global data center power bank in the last six months, taking its available electricity to 6GW.
The Aussie real estate company, which specializes in industrial developments including warehouses and data centers, revealed the news as part of its half-yearly financial results, which saw it report an AU$1.2 billion (US$850m) operating profit for the six months to the end of December 2025.
According to Goodman, it expects to have work in progress (WIP) worth AU$18 billion ($12.7bn) by June 2026, of which AU$14 billion ($9.9bn) will be data centers. This means digital infrastructure projects represent 73 percent of the firm’s WIP.
The increased power bank is available across the firm's projects, predominantly in Australia and Europe.
Goodman CEO Greg Goodman said: “We’re continuing to provide high-quality essential infrastructure for the digital economy in supply-constrained markets.
“Data center customers require facilities with low-latency and high connectivity to meet the unprecedented levels of capex spending forecast across the sector. Goodman is set to benefit from these structural shifts given the quality and location of our sites, and our track record of developing complex infrastructure.”
Traditionally focused on logistics and industrial real estate, Goodman has data center projects in operation or development across Hong Kong, Australia, Germany, the US, France, and Japan.
Last year, the company topped out a 32MW data center in Los Angeles, California, and announced plans for a 97MW data center in San Jose.
Greg Goodman added that the power bank will likely drive further growth for his firm in the year ahead.
He said: “Demand for digital infrastructure in our markets is expected to materially exceed supply over the foreseeable future. Goodman has a significant opportunity to develop into this strong demand, given our metropolitan sites, significant power bank, strong capital position, and expertise in complex infrastructure.
“The scale and locations of our powered land bank is rare. Construction-ready powered sites take many years to acquire, plan, secure power, undertake infrastructure works, and ultimately deliver.”
