DCD>Debate: Are fuel sources like hydrogen and nuclear too far out to count?
Whilst data centers enable our constant internet usage, and are critical to our modern society – they continue to consume enormous amounts of electricity 24/7 against a backdrop of opposition to the carbon footprint and overall sustainability of data centers where they are built.
Whilst renewables are hugely popular with the sector via RECs and PPAs, wind and solar alone cannot deliver the uptime that data centers need. Join us for a discussion on the potential of hydrogen plants and fuel cells, and small nuclear reactors in the data center hunt for reliable, low-cost, carbon-free energy sources.
