Panel Discussion: How can technology augment the role of the data center manager?

A data center’s workforce is at the heart of its operation and is critical to the success of a business. However, much like the continuous improvement required for physical infrastructure, the skills of the staff also need to be developed to ensure they align with the needs of a rapidly growing and increasingly innovative industry. But how do we achieve this and what does this mean for the evolution of the dc manager role?

This discussion will address the state of play for workforce training, and explore how data center professionals must adapt alongside the new technologies that are being deployed in data centers both in terms of technical skills, but also the ability to become change managers as businesses transition to new ways of working. But how can technology also be used to benefit traditional data center job functions? How will human roles be affected, and will this help advance data centers as a whole in a time of staffing and skills shortages?
