William K. Mao

Global VP, Head of Data Center, Hitachi

William is the Global Head of the Data Center segment at Hitachi Energy following the joint venture competition between ABB and Hitachi in July 2020. He was previously Head of the Data Centers Segment for Power Grids at ABB.  He has held different leadership roles at ABB since 2008.  

William has 30+ years of electrical industry knowledge including Westinghouse Electric, Cooper and Powell Industries, as sales engineer, product marketing, sales & BU manager, and factory general manager.  He holds a BS in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University and MBA from University St. Thomas.
