Stephanie Schmidt is the General Manager Platform Strategy & Market Intelligence. She is responsible for Datacenter of the Future (DCoF) tech strategy and long-term execution.  She oversees DCoF strategy to execution including sustainability, product requirements, benchmarking strategy, optimizing at a system level and provides full support for Intel Xeon platform customer insights and primary research.

Prior, she was chief of staff for the datacenter Group Strategy Office. She led messaging and customer strategy in support of the rack scale design business. She was point of contact for the Open Compute Project (OCP) and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) board of directors.

Stephanie joined Intel in 2006 and has contributed to Intel’s business, manufacturing process, and product development through a wide variety of roles and leadership experiences. For the datacenter group, she was a strategy director leading business planning and program management. For datacenter Finance, she was the finance controller, CFO, for the high-performance computing group responsible for the Xeon Phi and Omni-Path PnLs.

She spent a decade in semiconductor technology and manufacturing where she progressed from process engineer to department manager. She led a team of over 300 and transferred 45 and 32 nm process technologies from technology development to high volume manufacturing.

Stephanie holds bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Washington State University.
