CEO, Digital Grid, Schneider Electric

Ruben Llanes is the CEO, Digital Grid, which offers comprehensive solutions for grid operation, ADMS, DERMS, and asset, network and performance management. In addition, he is Schneider Electric’s Segment President, North American Power & Grid, harnessing the company’s broad suite of software, energy management, and industrial automation solutions for customers navigating their energy transition and grid modernization efforts.

Prior to his current role, he served as the CEO of AutoGrid Systems Inc., the technology leader in virtual power plants and DERMS. His leadership culminated in the successful sale of AutoGrid to Uplight, Inc. in the first quarter of 2024.

Prior to his tenure at AutoGrid, Ruben was Vice President, National Sales Force, where he was responsible for the commercial activities in the Central Region. Before that, he served as Vice President, Channel Business Development & Strategy, where he established and led the U.S. Distribution Sales organization and outlined the strategic direction for all distribution channels. He also held various line of business strategy roles and was Director, Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions for the Americas.

Ruben began his career in the Global Investment Banking Division at Deutsche Bank Securities before joining Schneider Electric. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
