Mark Richards
Partner, BCLPMark, a senior partner with in the leading international law firm BCLP ( www.bclplaw.com ) and
heads BCLP’s EMEA Energy, Environmental & Infrastructure Team and he is a member of
BCLP’s Data Centre and Digital Infrastructure Team based in London.
Mark has over 25 years of experience in providing multidisciplinary advice to investors, debt
providers and government agency clients on a wide range of high value, innovative and
complex infrastructure projects.
Mark has been involved in some of the most high-profile infrastructure deals both in the UK and
overseas, including advising on private debt structures, sustainable / green loans, infrastructure
equity trades and greenfield development projects.
Mark has recently worked on over 500MW of data centre developments across the UK and
Europe.
Mark is recognised as a leading legal adviser and is rated as an Infrastructure expert in the
latest edition of Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession, Legal 500 and Who’s Who of Project
Finance.
He regularly writes, chairs and addresses audiences on global infrastructure structures.
Mark is qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales and a member of the New York State Bar.
Mark is company secretary of The International Project Finance Association (IPFA), a member
of The Infrastructure Forum advisory council and has contributed to several Infrastructure
reports for London First and TheCityUK. Mark is also volunteers as a member of RUSI’s risk and
audit committee.
