James Feeney is Vice President of AI / HPC Data Center Strategy and Development EMEA at Salute, where he leads the strategy, design, and delivery of advanced infrastructure for high density AI and high performance computing environments across the region. He works with hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and emerging neocloud operators to build scalable, energy efficient platforms that support next generation GPU architectures and rapidly evolving AI workloads.

With more than two decades in data center and digital infrastructure, James is known for his deep technical capability and clear strategic leadership in complex, high availability environments. He brings a disciplined, analytical approach to translating emerging AI requirements into resilient, buildable solutions that align with client objectives, programme timelines, and investment constraints.

James has delivered consultancy across multisite data center, edge, and telecommunications estates, defining high density and liquid cooling design standards, operational readiness frameworks, and grid and utility engagement strategies to derisk AI and HPC investments. He is a regular industry contributor, having spoken at events such as Data Centre World and Tech Show London on topics including the convergence of data, AI driven operations, and the need to deliver operational clarity without increasing cognitive burden on operations teams.

Prior to his current role, James served as Senior Technical Director at Salute and held senior engineering roles across the data center and telecommunications sectors, leading high performing teams and developing innovative concepts that have been deployed across large critical infrastructure portfolios.
