George Hannah

VP, Thermal Systems & Advanced Development, Vertiv

George Hannah is an accomplished leader in data center cooling, with a career beginning in 2001 after earning a BEng Hons in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. Starting as a junior engineer, George advanced to Technical Director and board member at the UK’s largest data centre OEM. Since joining Vertiv in 2017 as EMEA Thermal Technical Director, George has managed global teams and product lines, most recently as Senior Director of Chilled Water Systems.

In his new role as Vice President Thermal Systems and Advanced Development, George defines the strategic roadmap for data center thermal technologies at Vertiv, focusing on integrated solutions from chip-level cooling to heat reuse and rejection. George also oversees the global thermal laboratory infrastructure. A Chartered Engineer and member of the UK’s Institute of Mechanical Engineers and ASHRAE, George is dedicated to advancing cooling technology through engineering excellence, supplier collaboration, and partnerships with leading academic institutions.
