Bruce Stephenson

Senior Director, Vantage Data Centers

Bruce is an experienced Construction Consultant, with over 17 years’ experience in delivering Cost, Project and Programme Management services across varied sectors within the construction industry. Bruce has strong leadership qualities, with good experience of delivering data centre build projects successfully from conception to completion, within budget.

He graduated from the University of Port Elizabeth (now Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University) in South Africa in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying and Business Management, then joining AYH plc, a property and construction consultant.

Working in a number of sectors within the construction market until 2004, he then moved to BPP Construction Consultants LLP as a Senior Construction Consultant and Associate Partner (Cost and Project Management), specialising in multi-storey residential/commercial and specialist developments.

In 2006, he moved to the development side of the data centre industry, working on the sourcing, due diligence, leasing and delivery of large scale data centres to 3rd party occupiers, with the last 8 years having been dedicated specifically to delivering large scale data centres across the UK, Europe and beyond from conception (feasibility) to completion (project close out and handover to Operations) as Head of Construction for e-shelter UK Ltd. Bruce was previously the regional Development Director (Europe) at Global Switch.
