Adriaan Oosthoek

Chairman, Portus Data Centers

Having spent the past 25+ years in senior management roles in the data center industry, Adriaan has a deep understanding of colocation and wholesale data center businesses as well as significant knowledge of the European data center markets. Currently Adriaan serves as Executive Chairman of European Edge data center operator Portus Data Centers. He was also a co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Governors for 8 years at the Data Center Alliance industry association until 2019 and during 2016-2022 Adriaan was Senior Vice President of Operations, Construction and IT at Interxion with responsibility for its 60 data centers located across 13 European countries and 15 cities. This included overseeing the successful transition of the company’s operations following its acquisition by Digital Reality in 2020. Previously, Adriaan’s career has included positions as Executive Vice President of Data Center Services at Colt Technology Services, UK&I Managing Director at Telecity Group UK (now Equinix), and Managing Director Netherlands at Redbus Interhouse.

Prior to this, he was a founder of the Dutch subsidiary of Teles, a European provider of telecommunications equipment, and held a number of senior roles with responsibility for managing several regional markets throughout Europe.  Adriaan has a bachelor’s degree in business information sciences. He studied at the Business School for Economics in The Hague and holds marketing certificates NIMA A and NIMA B.
