The Hanoi People’s Committee has launched a data center space in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The Committee is the executive branch of the Municipal People’s Council and the highest administrative body in Hanoi.
The facility is located within Vietnamese telecom VNPT’s data center in Hoa Lac High-Tec Park in the Thach That district, Ha Tay province.
The vice chairman of Hanoi’s People’s Committee, Ha Minh Hai, said the data center will ensure a safe and effective information storage, connection, and processing platform for management systems and public services.
He added that the facility provides a synchronous and secure data infrastructure to help agencies analyze, forecast, and make decisions based on data in a scientific, accurate, and efficient manner.
The facility integrates AI, big data, and IoT technologies. Other specifications have not been provided.
VNPT’s data center was launched in October last year, with around 2,000 racks across 23,000 sqm (247,570 sq ft).
Viettel also has a facility in Hanoi’s Hoa Lac Tech Park, which opened in April this year.
