UK-based private cloud provider BlackBox Hosting has selected Everpure's all-flash storage technology for its platform.

BlackBox has upgraded its legacy infrastructure, migrating thousands of customers to the Everpure - formerly Pure Storage - platform. According to the companies, this has enabled BlackBox to improve storage latency, availability, and disaster recovery capabilities.

BlackBox customers experience no downtime during the migration, and Everpure will provide non-disrupted future upgrades via its Evergreen//Forever subscription.

In addition to a 12 percent performance improvement, BlackBox has also been able to reduce its footprint by 87 percent and cut CO2 emissions by 85 percent.

The initial migration came after BlackBox's previous storage infrastructure reached end-of-life. BlackBox first replaced its legacy disk storage with two Everpure FlashArray//X50 solutions, later expanding with a second high-performance FlashArray//X50 system and two FlashArray//RC20 systems for cost-efficient file storage.

In total, BlackBox Hosting has replaced more than 1.5 racks of disk-based systems with 6U of flash storage.

BlackBox Hosting is a London-based company. According to its website, it operates out of two data centers, one of which is in the London Docklands area.

Everpure is a storage technology provider. Previously known as Pure Storage, the company rebranded in February 2026, when it also announced plans to acquire 1touch to help extend its data management capabilities.

The company previously invested in hot cloud storage company Wasabi Technologies.
