TIP Brasil to to expand and update its data center in São Paulo, Brazil.

The company, which specializes in white label telecommunications solutions for Internet service providers (ISPs) in Brazil, has announced a 500 million reais ($94.6m) investment to expand and develop a data center site in Campinas, in the interior of the state of São Paulo.

The project, which will open in November 2025, will have capacity for up to 2,000 racks and aims to offer colocation and cloud computing services in response to the growing demand for secure, high-performance digital infrastructure in the country.

With around 20,000 sqm (215,280 sq ft) of built area, the data center will undergo a complete renovation to obtain Tier III certification.

Improvements include replacing the raised floor with fire-resistant materials, upgrading the UPS and air conditioning systems, while retaining only the 3MW Caterpillar generators already installed. The initial operation is expected to generate 10MW, with the possibility of expansion according to demand, including self-generation from 2026.

According to Alexandre Alves, president and CEO of TIP Brasil, the data center located in Campinas allows the company to serve Internet service providers (ISPs), organizations in the security sector, and government entities, with the advantage of keeping the data stored in the national territory. This feature contributes to compliance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Act (LGPD), reinforcing the company's commitment to privacy and information security.

In addition, the data center's infrastructure enables the scalable expansion of colocation operations and cloud services, allowing TIP Brasil to keep pace with the growing demand for high-performance and reliable digital solutions.

The first stage of the project is scheduled to open in November 2025, while the second phase, which includes an expansion of 2,500 sqm, is scheduled to take place between January and February 2026. TIP Brasil expects to occupy approximately 500 racks by the end of 2026, with full operation of the initial area expected by 2030.

This investment is part of the portfolio of Tropical, a new TIP Brasil group company dedicated to offering data center services, as part of a corporate ecosystem made up of around 30 companies. In addition to its own resources, the project has the support of family investors, strategic partners, and the support of Wave Hub - the group to which TIP Brasil is linked - contributing to the financial solidity and long-term viability of the initiative.
