Telkom Indonesia is potentially resurfacing plans to sell its data center business, NeutraDC.

Reporting from Bloomberg, quoting sources familiar with the matter, said that the telecoms company is working with financial advisors on the sale of its majority stake in NeutraDC, seeking a valuation of $1 billion to $1.5 billion.

The telecoms company originally explored selling the business in 2022, holding initial talks with investors and seeking a valuation of more than $1 billion.

In February 2024, Telkom Indonesia was again reportedly looking to sell a minority stake in the business. Ahmad Reza, then senior vice president of corporate communications and investor relations at Telkom Indonesia, said the company was considering how big a stake it should part with.

Later, in August 2024, reports emerged that the company was still seeking investors in the business, engaging the services of Goldman Sachs and Mindiri Sekuritas to assist in this endeavour.

NeutraDC is a portfolio of 29 data centers across Indonesia and Singapore, including one hyperscale data center in Jakarta, Indonesia. Further hyperscale data centers are planned by the company, according to its website.

Last month, NeutraDC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ishikari Renewable Energy Data Center No.1 to develop cross-border digital infrastructure linking Hokkaido, Indonesia, and Singapore.
