An application for large data center has been submitted in Sydney, Australia.
In a SEARS application with the New South Wales government, a data center could be built at 90 Aldington Road in Kemps Creek, West Sydney.
Set on 92,400 sqm (994,585 sq ft), the building could total 168MW across a dozen 14MW data halls. The site is currently undeveloped land adjacent to a number of industrial facilities. The facility would support direct-to-chip liquid cooling.
A 1GW substation would also be developed that would serve the rest of the industrial park.
The application has been filed by Fife Capital alongside Stockland and could see up to AU$3.94 billion (US$2.7bn) invested.
Fife Capital is an independent alternative investment management firm founded in Sydney in 2006. The company has developed various logistics and mixed-use projects. The company is developing a large industrial development in Kemps Creek alongside Stockland.
