Data center firm Soluna has announced the expansion of its partnership with Bitcoin mining firm Blockware.

The cryptominer is to lease 3.3MW of capacity at Soluna’s Project Dorothy 1B site outside Amarillo in Texas.

The agreement marks Blockware’s fourth expansion with Soluna, and makes Blockware the first customer signed to Project Dorothy 1B. The new agreement takes Blockware’s total deployed power capacity with Soluna to 17MW across all of the company’s sites.

“We’re excited to expand our partnership with Blockware for the fourth time and bring them to a new site,” said John Belizaire, CEO of Soluna.

“As we scale, we remain focused on delivering reliable, renewable-powered infrastructure for AI and Bitcoin mining,” added Belizaire.

The latest deal follows a February 2026 expansion between the two companies, which added 6MW of capacity for Blockware at Soluna’s Dorothy 1 site. In a March business update, Soluna said Blockware had completed the 6MW expansion at Dorothy 1A, while other deployments at the site included an 11MW deployment for Canaan.

Dorothy 1B is a 25MW data center co-located with the 150MW Briscoe Wind Farm, which Soluna acquired earlier this month for $53 million. The wind farm powers the Project Dorothy campus and gives Soluna ownership of a large-scale renewable generation asset.

Soluna has said the acquisition will support the development of Project Dorothy 3, a planned renewable-powered AI campus on 300 acres adjacent to the existing Dorothy sites. The company has said the future site could support more than 300MW of capacity for high-performance computing and generative AI workloads.

Earlier this month, Soluna acquired full ownership of the Dorothy 1 site after buying out Spring Lane Capital’s remaining stake for $16.5m.

Soluna’s live data center sites include the 187MW Project Rosa site in Texas; the 50MW Dorothy I A and B, as well as 48MW Dorothy II, again in Texas; Project Sophie, a 25MW data center in Kentucky; and the 2MW Grace site in Texas.
