The total size of the project is listed as 1,500 sq ft (139 sqm). DCD has contacted Smith County for more information about the data center plans.

Fitzpatrick Architects is listed as the design firm associated with the project.

According to the Smith County website, the Department of Information Technology is dedicated to "contributing to an efficient and productive county government utilizing technology solutions to improve citizen access to government information and services."

The IT department has a "strategic plan" currently in place, focusing on improving its IT infrastructure, expanding electronic access to services and information, and providing management of data security, integrity, and disaster recovery services.
