APAC operator SC Zeus Data Centers has started work on a new facility in Osaka, Japan.

The company this week announced it has broken ground on Zeus OSA1, its first data center development in Japan.

The 13,955 sqm (150,210 sq ft) Nanko campus will deliver 70MW of IT load across two phases, supported by a 100MW power allocation from Kansai Electric.

Zeus said the site will support liquid cooling, offering densities up to 130kW per rack.

Singaporean real estate investment firm SC Capital Partners (SCCP) launched Zeus in 2023 as a joint venture with Abner Investments.

The company is also planning a facility in Seoul, South Korea. Zeus announced plans for an Osaka facility in November 2023.

Established in 2004, SC Capital Partners is a privately owned APAC real estate firm that owns a variety of retail, office, hospitality, residential, and industrial properties across the Asia Pacific. Zeus is seemingly the company’s first data center investment.
