Data center operator Edarat has secured an order from Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF) to provide colocation services.
A notice in Tadawul, the Saudi Exchange, said that the contract value is worth more than five percent of BSF’s 2025 total revenue, including VAT.
BSF did not share its revenue for 2025, but posted net earnings of 5.353bn SAR (~$1.42bn). Five percent of the net earnings would be as much as $71 million.
A major Saudi commercial bank, BSF was founded in 1977 as a joint venture with the French financial institution Banque de l'Indochine et de Suez.
The contract is expected to be signed on April 10.
According to Edarat's website, the company has worked on or is working on more than 150 data center projects. The company offers colocation services from six data centers located in Riyadh and Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
In addition to the colocation agreement, Al Arabiya reports that Edarat has also been awarded a $19.17m contract to design and provide supervision services for the establishment of an AI data center from Al Moammar Information Systems Company (MIS).
Details are sparse, but MIS was awarded a contract to design and build an AI data center for Humain in December 2025. DCD has contacted MIS to clarify if this is the same project.
MIS describes itself as one of the largest IT companies in Saudi Arabia, and was founded in 1979. Edarat is an affiliate of MIS.
The Riyadh-based Edarat Group is a publicly traded data center and cloud services firm. Last year, the company partnered with Orange Business, Nvidia and LightOn to deliver a sovereign, end-to-end Generative AI platform for governments and organizations in the Gulf.
In March 2024, Edarat signed an agreement with edge computing startup Armada to deploy 10 modular Galleon data centers across the Middle East.
Edarat reported a SAR 36.34 million ($9.6m) net profit for the year ended 31 December 2025, a 47 percent increase from the previous period. Revenue increased 84 percent year-on-year to SAR 192.35m ($51.2m).
The company said the reason behind the revenue increase was the expansion of its Edarat Cloud Infrastructure, increased subscription volumes, and new service offerings. Additionally, strategic partnerships and increased commercial activity across both segments also contributed to the revenue uplift.
Edarat obtained a 36-month financing in 2025 to finance capex related to the expansion of its cloud infrastructure.
