The company will invest £4.5 million ($4.5m) in the site, delivering 300kW of additional IT capacity alongside upgrades to connectivity and cooling.

Set to go live in December 2023, the fourth data hall will add 320 sqm (3,440 sq ft).

Located at 1-2 Ball Green on Cobra Court, the facility currently offers 1.1MW across three data halls. It was acquired from M247 last year.

Ben Cranham, COO at Pulsant, said: “For regional businesses to thrive, they need access to a high bandwidth, low latency interconnection network. This investment in Manchester extends our commitment to support the growing technology demand for regional data center access and colocation services across the North West.”

Founded in 1995, Pulsant operates 12 data centers across the UK. Last month the company announced it was expanding its data center in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, adding a further 380kW.
