APAC data center firm Flow Digital Infrastructure has launched a data center outside Manila, the Philippines.

A-Flow, a joint venture between AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. and Flow Digital Infrastructure, officially launched its first data center, ML1, in the Philippines last week.

Located in Laguna, some 35km (21.7 miles) south of Manila, the data center is the first of a three-building campus. The first phase offers 6MW, and the campus will offer 36MW at full build-out.

Asia-focused investment manager PAG Real Estate launched Flow, an investment platform focused on digital infrastructure in APAC, in late 2021.

Flow and Ayala announced a partnership in May 2022 and signed an agreement the following October. Construction of the first phase of the campus began in December 2022, and the facility was topped out in September last year.

Ayala Land, Inc. is a real estate firm based in the Philippines and a subsidiary of the Ayala Corporation conglomerate. Ayala Corp. previously took a stake in Globe Telecom’s newly-carved out data center unit alongside STT GDC.

Biñan City Mayor, Angelo Alonte, said: "Today marks a transformative moment for Biñan City. The launch of the first A-FLOW Data Center is more than the unveiling of a state-of-the-art facility, it signals a new era for digital innovation and economic growth in the Philippines."
