A-Flow, the joint venture between Ayala Land, Inc. and PAG’s Flow Digital Infrastructure, has topped out its ML1 data center facility in Laguna, the Philippines.
Located in Biñan outside Manila, the campus comprises three buildings and will have an initial capacity of 6MW when ready for service in Q4 2024. At full build-out, the ML1 campus is set to offer 36MW of IT capacity.
Construction of the first phase of the campus began in December 2022.
Amandine Wang, A-Flow president and CEO, said: “The topping off of ML1 is a testament to the vision, commitment, and dedication of all of our vendors, partners, and consultants who have contributed to this achievement. Their presence highlights the collective effort and shared ambition that has driven this project forward up to this pivotal moment.”
Asia-focused investment manager PAG Real Estate launched Flow, an investment platform focused on digital infrastructure in APAC, in late 2021. Flow and Ayala announced a partnership in May 2022 and signed an agreement the following October.
This is the JV’s first facility, having secured a $41.4 million loan for the site in July this year.
This week, the Philippines ICT department said it was seeking funding for more data center development in the country. Historically, the Philippines’ data center market has been concentrated in the capital, Manila.
Data center providers operating in the country include PLDT and STT GDC. The former has 10 data centers in the country and is currently developing an 11th facility that will have 50MW of IT capacity at full build-out.
