European cloud provider OVHcloud is bringing Quandela's Belenos quantum computer to its cloud-based Quantum Platform.

Belenos is a photonic quantum computer with 12 qubits of compute power, and is aimed at enabling organizations to experiment with new algorithms for image sorting and generation, accelerated AI calculus, or quantum machine learning (QML), among others.

The newest QPU will be offered as-a-service, with pay-as-you-go billing.

"We are delighted to deliver on the promise of the Quantum Platform by adding a second reference quantum computer, Belenos, from the French company Quandela. The quantum revolution accelerates, and OVHcloud is taking its part as the European Cloud leader within the ecosystem,” said Miroslaw Klaba, R&D director OVHcloud.

“The integration of Belenos 12 qubits into the OVHcloud portfolio marks a decisive step for quantum in Europe," added Niccolò Somaschi, CEO and co-founder of Quandela. "Accessible through the cloud, this photonic computer becomes a concrete tool for businesses. With OVHcloud we are offering data scientists and innovators alike the means to develop their algorithms on a flexible and sovereign infrastructure.”

Quandela first revealed its Belenos quantum computer in May 2025. According to the company, it offers 4,000 times more computing power than its predecessor and is operated at the CEA’s Très Grand Centre de Calcul (TGCC). Quandela plans to increase the number of qubits the system has, previously claiming they would double by 2026. In three years, Quandela is targeting 40 qubits.

OVH's Quantum Platform was launched by the company in November 2025, at the time with plans to offer access to eight quantum computers. OVH first revealed plans for the Quantum Platform in June 2025, with a planned launch in September.

Other QPUs offering include the Pasqal Orion Beta QPU, which has a capacity of 100 neural atom qubits. In addition to the Pasqal QPU, OVH now offers access to 15 quantum emulators.
