Layoffs at Oracle have continued into their second month.

DCD was first to report significant job cuts in August, which primarily impacted Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) teams. The second round of layoffs starting this past week appears to go further, impacting not just OCI, but Oracle Health, architects, and other divisions.

Last week, a large number of Oracle workers were laid off in the Philippines, with most working for Oracle Advanced Customer Services (ACS) and others for the Oracle NetSuite (NSGBU) group. Former employees note that entire teams were cut after receiving meeting invites for a 'Business Update.'

This week, workers in India, Canada, and the US are learning of layoffs. Some in Europe have been invited to business updates, but the scale is not yet known.

In the US, a significant number of the layoffs appear to impact Oracle Health (formerly Cerner), including across Care Delivery and Consulting. Oracle acquired Cerner in 2022 for $28.3 billion.

In a filing with the Washington state Employment Security Department, Oracle said that it would lay off 101 employees in Seattle - on top of the 161 it noted in the August cuts.

The company has yet to respond to a request for comment.
