OpenNebula Systems and OVHcloud are partnering on a sovereign cloud offering.

Together, the companies will deliver sovereign European cloud instances as part of the Hosted OpenNebula Cloud - Ready Certification Program based on OVH's European-hosted infrastructure in multiple locations.

The deployments will be capable of being integrated with private, hybrid, or hosted clouds of Edge environments to enable hybrid and multi-cloud architectures. Customers will be able to deploy OpenNebula on high-performance bare-metal servers, with automated provisioning, reference architectures, and self-service options.

OVH operates some 46 data centers globally across four continents. Based in France, it also has several data centers across wider Europe, including in Germany, Italy, and Poland, among others. It recently launched a new data center in Germany. The company also has local zone Edge locations in some 28 metros globally.

In November 2025, OVH launched a new inferencing service in partnership with SambaNova. Dubbed OVHcloud AI EndPoint, the offering uses SambaNova's SambaStack platform and SambaNova's custom reconfigurable dataflow units, enabling rapid inferencing capabilities.

OpenNebula is coordinating the Virt8ra offering, a sovereign, open source, multi-provider Edge cloud. Also involved are Arsys, BIT, the Gdańsk University of Technology, Infobip, Ionos, Kontron, Mondragon Corporation, and Oktawave.
