Ooredoo Group has named Saoud Hamad Al Riyami as CEO of its Oman business.

The carrier made the appointment earlier this month, with Al Riyami starting his role on August 4.

Al Riyami has been serving as acting CEO since February, following the end of Bassam Yousef Al Ibrahim’s tenure.

He joined Ooredoo Oman in 2009. During his tenure at the company, he has held several positions, including head of business sales, director of business sales, and ICT solutions, and chief business and wholesale officer.

The carrier currently has around three million mobile customers in Oman.

Ooredoo Group operates across the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia in nine markets.
